Guppy's Chocolates have been producing a wide range of high quality hand made, hand packaged artisan chocolates in York since 2010.
Guppy’s range of handcrafted chocolate bars showcase the diversity and beauty of wildlife found in and around Yorkshire, blending bold abstract painted scenes with geometric line work for a striking range design.
For the brand redesign, we focussed on the uniqueness of Guppy's products - as each chocolate is individually hand made.
Creating an uneven, yet elegant circle device which echoes the hand rendering, giving a nod to the previous brand logo which played on the name "Guppys" with a fish shaped brand mark, we hinted at bubbles with the overlapping circle at the bottom.
The logo is designed to convey each product flavour clearly- with each concentric "ring" changing colour to depict not only the ingredients, but also the type of chocolate used.
Guppy’s range of truffles feature bold, minimal design which playfully conveys the flavour variant in a quirky but classy way.
Guppy's also launched a brand new range of chocolate enrobed fruit products. For this range we wanted to play on the heritage of York, depicting many of the City's iconic landmarks, combining with the real fruit ingredients to create a unique illustrative, collage design.
